There are 12 teachers appointed to teach various subjects, ranging from computers, social sciences, English and Maths. The teachers do more than teach, but serve as mentors and friends to the children, and are here to be aware of their needs and problems. Teachers have accountability and compensations are paid on the basis of performance. The teachers are educated and knowledgeable in their subjects and are led by a coordinator that provides support and guidance. The teachers received training in 2007 and in 2008, a greater program to develop their teaching skills was put in place. The focus is on practical teaching methods and experiential learning.
