around the communities we serve. Many families often live in homes without toilets and are forced to relieve their self outside in the mountain forests. Not only is this unsanitary and degrading for women; it is dangerous; many lives have been lost in the villages due to snake bites. The women now have privacy and are more knowledgeable about proper sanitation. The society plans to construct another 300 toilets with ADOPT in the future.
It’s our aim to provide support to families living in this rural community. PYDS employs local men and women in jobs that provide food, transportation, carpentry and maintenance for the society. We help to ensure a steady income for people and their families and as a result, the entire community is strengthened by our activities
The society’s programs for children and women include a healthcare scheme that provides services and medicines at nominal rates in collaboration with local doctors |
