I have to carry my child to work as there is nobody to look after him while I am at Stree Shakti. It was very difficult to maintain the pace of work with my child around. With Shishu Shakti supporting my child, I can now fully concentrate on my work and I am so happy to see that my child is growing up well.

Early Childhood Learning Centre - Shishu Shakti

This facility sets a benchmark in excellence of facilities. Two, three and four year groups can now receive care, love, education, lunch and snacks; their mothers are now able to work and train knowing their children are safe and sound. Comprehensive immunisation, nutrition and health care are included.

The other important outcome of this programme is that early intervention by providing nutrition and mental stimulation is a great leveller.

This is an important way of making great leaps forward in changing local lives. Children acquire language and social skills naturally and easily, establishing a solid base for later learning.
