Get Involved: Be a Purkal Star |

Fundraise & Awareness Campaigns: One of the best ways to extend your support to the society is to help spread the word about our work. With your help, we can strengthen our network of supporters and garner more support for helping to improve the lives of people in this community. From sharing our brochure with a friend to organizing a fundraising event, there are many creative ways to get involved.
-
Host a musical concert, sporting event or Art/Photo exhibition and donate a percentage of the proceeds to PYDS
- Participate in a marathon and raise funds on the behalf of PYDS
-
Spread the word about our society by e-mailing our monthly newsletter to your friends, sharing our brochure or posting it in your workplace
-
Organize a fundraising drive in your workplace for PYDS and ask your company to match the amount
-
Make a small presentation to an association or group you belong to about the society and organize a collection drive
-
Host an exhibition of Stree Shakti products and donate the proceeds to the society
- Host a fun party in your home with wine, games, karaoke and help us spread the word about our Society.

Sarah Daly, Canada, has been a great supporter of the society since she came to Dehradun for a Yoga Course in 2004. She has visited the society 3 times since her first visit and continues to refer friends and garner support for the society. It was very touching to see her make an effort to encourage charity amongst youth, when for Christmas in 2005, instead of gifts, she persuaded her nephews to accept a donation of money to the society in their name.
